Pêcheurs de Bretagne, the largest Producer Organisation in France, decided to entrust F & S - Armeris to carry out a study on the valorisation of the products falling under the landing obligation implemented through article 15 of Regulation (EU) 1380/2013. This new rule will generated a flow of raw material likely to be treated by the by-product industry. While the traditional processes will remain fish meal, fish oil and hydrolysates, the development of new biotechnological process is likely to support the development of higher value products. The study will seek to quantify the flow of raw material and to qualify it in terms of species, then to identify logistic and industrial solutions to create value.
