Fisheries and aquaculture sectors, as well as ancillary sectors, represent significant economic activities for the different French Overseas territories. These economic sectors are often pivotal to ensure an economic and social balance, and for territorial development.
Representatives of these industries wished to obtain detailed analysis to support the development of a shared vision of the situation and of a strategy for the forthcoming years.
F&S has been selected by FranceAgriMer to realise this study. This required a detailed analysis of the situation of the fisheries and aquaculture sectors in each territory taking into account their particular geographical and institutional contexts. Analysis supported identification of issues of common interest, and development of recommendations aiming at ensuring the economic development of each territory.
