Feasibility Studies for new Research Vessels

In 2019, the Indonesian research organization LIPI and Agence Française de Développement (AFD) contracted F&S to carry out a feasibility study for the renewing of the Indonesian fleet of Oceanographic Research vessels. The study focused on the rehabilitation of a 55 m vessel, the construction of a new 80 m vessel, the fleet management and the tenders to be launched. Financing (USD M 110) is currently being finalised between LIPI and AFD.

In 2020, the Pacific Community (SPC) contracted F&S to carry out a feasibility study for a new research vessel dedicated to regional scientific studies on tropical tuna species, such as tagging programmes. This study will be used in particular to secure funding required for the construction of the Research Vessel.
